HERMETISCS
Hermetics
Hermeticism is a mystical-occult current that appeared in antiquity, whose name comes from the controversial character Hermes Trismegistus , the author of hermetic writings, also considered the father of alchemy . This current promotes a doctrine that states that there is only one true theology that is present in all religions and that has been given by God to man. Many Christian writers, including Emerson, Lactantius, Thomas Aquinas, Augustine, Giordano Bruno, Marsilio Ficino, Campanella, and Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, considered Hermes Trismegistus to be a wise pagan prophet who foretold the coming of Christianity. Hermeticism influenced the Church Fathers and the philosophers of the Renaissance in different ways.
