Esotericism

Of these two variants - esoteric/esoteric - the correct one is the second - "esoteric" - and it means: (about doctrines, rituals, etc.) Which can only be understood by the initiated. The noun "esotericism" refers to the transmission of a doctrine, a ritual, etc. only to a limited number of initiates.

Exoteric (from Fr. exotérique, Gr. exoterikos) is also a correct term, but having a different meaning than esoteric, namely: (about philosophical doctrines or religious rituals) intended directly for the public, for everyone. Esotericism (in Greek εσωτερικος = from the inside) is a philosophical-religious concept that designates knowledge and teachings obtained through the perception of spiritual phenomena, accessible only to initiates, in opposition to exoteric knowledge, accessible to all people.

The spiritual currents that declare themselves esoteric are of great diversity and with varied beliefs, from those based on Eastern teachings to forms of Christian esotericism.

An esotericism is an occult teaching, doctrine or theory, technique or procedure, of symbolic expression, of a metaphysical order, with initiatory intent.

Regardless of religion (Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, etc.), all spiritual paths have an esoteric aspect that focuses on an interpersonal connection with Spirit, God, or the Divine.

Essentially, any religion has two components in its composition, regardless of denomination, it is both esoteric and exoteric. Sometimes the word "esotericism" is used in conjunction with or synonymous with the word "occult". Unfortunately, the application of the term "occult" has been corrupted over time and is believed to be about the devil or evil things. This is far from the truth. The word "occult" itself comes from the Latin word oculto - which means
"hidden" or "secret". The mystery surrounding esotericism is rather created by people who do not give credibility to their practices or who see the world only from a rational point of view, which is not bad. But we often forget that one of the purposes of life is to discover and understand ourselves, which is only rationally impossible!

ReiKi

It is a system of spiritual evolution through which man can access the universal source of energy - the Holy Spirit.

In all the systems that exist today on Earth, people talk about this energy, either they call it Bio-Energy, or Light, or Prana, or Chi or Ki, it is the same.

The difference between the systems is how to take this energy and how to use it. In Qi Kung (Chi Kung/Qi Gong), tai chi, tao, it is taken from the atmosphere, from the stars, etc. In Christianity it is taken through prayer, through communion, through holy water by a priest, a priest who has direct access to the universal source (the Holy Spirit), and through ReiKi you also have direct access to the source.

There is another difference, that of the vibration of the Light, and in this chapter the ReiKi is very good - the ReiKi Masters having a much higher vibration than the other practices, less so the priests, although there are ReiKi masters who have a higher vibration even than the priests .

Kabbalah

Mystically, the term Kabbala refers to a set of symbols called Sefires and the Divine Names associated with them. It includes practices, meditation techniques, concentration techniques on these names, as well as prayers associated with the respective symbols. They are ways in which the divinity manifests itself in the physical plane, but they are also principles by which the practitioner can come to know God, the Sephiroth representing one of the ways in which we can experience God or be face to face with him in similarly to prophets, patriarchs, Jesus or apostles.

To see the Divine face is a supreme honor.

To say the same thing in a simplified and more worldly form, it is necessary to know the name of the person with whom we want to meet and with whom we want to end up sitting face to face. In the same way, to be able to see God's face, it is indispensable to know His name.

Kabbalah insists that we must come to see the Divine face, the aspects of God, in both the inner and outer worlds. The Soul or Divine Spark within us is constantly seeking to understand the ways of Divinity and apply them in the physical plane.

Kabbalah teaches us that the forms we see every day are only masks that cover spiritual things and aspects, principles through which all creation manifests. By becoming aware of these, we actually become aware of how God manifests himself at every level of creation, how He wants it to be perceived, experienced, felt, etc.

The main teachings of Kabbalah aimed to explore and find answers to fundamental questions related to:

• The nature and attributes of God and the image of God.

• The development of cosmology.

• The mystery of the creation of angels and the human race.

• The destiny of humanity and angels.

• The nature of the human soul and its connection with divinity.

• Nature of cosmic forces — angels, demons, elemental energies, etc.

• The hidden meaning of the revealed laws and the Holy Gospels.

• Transcendental symbolism of numbers and geometric shapes.

• The mysteries contained in the Hebrew letters.

• Balance in the action of cosmic forces.

• Mysteries of divine revelation and prophetic states of consciousness.

• The mystery of reincarnation and the Divine plan on earth.

Considering the vast height, depth, and spread of these metaphysical questions, one can only imagine the enormous amount of esoteric teachings, practices, and literature formed around Kabbalah over thousands of years.

Hermetica

Hermeticism is a mystical-occult current that appeared in antiquity, whose name comes from the controversial character Hermes Trismegistus , the author of some hermetic writings, also considered as the father of alchemy .

This current promotes a doctrine which states that there is only one true theology which is present in all religions and which was given by God to man.

Many Christian writers, including Emerson, Lactantius, Thomas Aquinas, Augustine, Giordano Bruno, Marsilio Ficino, Campanella, and Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, considered Hermes Trismegistus to be a wise pagan prophet who foresaw the coming of Christianity.

Hermeticism influenced in different ways both the Fathers of the Church and the philosophers of the Renaissance.

Principles of Hermeticism:

  1. As above, so below

  2. The Principle of Mentalism

  3. The Principle of Rhythm

  4. Principle of Vibration

  5. The Principle of Cause and Effect

  6. Principle of Polarity

  7. The Genre Principle

Yoga

As yoga is called a set of disciplines and practices of physical and mental type that aims to achieve a balance between body and mind, as a way to reach enlightenment and union with the Absolute.

As such, the word comes from the Sanskrit 'yoga', which means 'union', 'effort'.

The origin of yoga is located in India, in the Indus Valley. Its age is difficult to determine, but it is speculated that it could be between 3 - 5 thousand years old. As such, it is one of the classical doctrines of Hinduism, in which an important influence of the ancient philosophy of Samkhya is recognized. Its main theorist was Patanyali, the author of the Yoga-sutra, a text composed mainly of aphorisms about yoga.

As such, the essential goal of yoga is the reunification of the being with the Absolute and access to the supreme consciousness that leads us to enlightenment.

Today, yoga has become enormously popular in the West, resulting in a discipline based on Hindu theories, but fundamentally focused on the practice of a set of techniques designed to gain greater control over the body and mind. In this sense, modern yoga is more of a system of exercises that seeks for the person to achieve spiritual balance and harmony, all through meditation and a series of postural and breathing exercises.

The most widespread and practiced type of yoga today is hatha yoga, which comprises a sequence of postures and breathing exercises that strengthen the body and promote states of relaxation. Also, in yoga the practice of pranayama, is a set of exercises for controlling the breath, which is the vital energy, and achieving peace of mind that is considered of particular importance.

Among its many benefits, yoga helps the individual to have a more harmonious relationship with their body, control their mind and emotions, and release stress, all of which contribute to a state of well-being.

Qi Gong

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese system of cultivating health, vitality and longevity, as well as spiritual evolution. Based on the classical principles of Taoism.

Qi Gong offers a path of self-cultivation that involves harmony between all levels of the human being (physical, psychic and spiritual), harmony with nature and constant and natural progress, avoiding the excesses and injuries possible in other physical disciplines and at the same time avoiding withdrawal from the world , characteristic of other spiritual paths.

It is a set of Chinese health techniques, classified into two types:

1. respiratory and mental techniques , static (standing, sitting, lying down), to improve the functioning of the circulatory, respiratory systems, etc.;

2. dynamic techniques: gymnastics, massage, etc., to strengthen the body.

In Chinese religions Qi Gong techniques are practiced to attain higher states of consciousness.
